+ この施設周囲は標高が高い為(900m弱)、夏場でも朝晩は多少冷え込みます。 そのため軽く羽織れる程度のものをお持ちになる事をお勧めいたします。

+ 7月中頃〜9月下旬あたりまで、施設周辺は近隣が牧場及び原野という環境のため朝晩にアブやブヨ（ブト）が多く出現します。 半ズボンやサンダルでの牧場周辺や原野周辺の散策、遊覧はご注意ください。とくにお子様連れの方は要注意です。 虫除けスプレーを塗布すれば多少の忌避は望めますが、完璧には防虫できません。また秋はハチが巣をかける時期です。 むやみに山林などに立ち入らぬ事もおすすめします。

Toothbrush and toothpaste, pajama, toilet kit. We suggest you to prepare stuff such as snacks, foods and drinks.

There is no supermarket around here. If you don't know where you can get them, we will be pleased to help your shopping.

ATTENTION）

Matitto fika is located on 870m above sea level. It is quite cool in the mornings and evenings even in summer. Our surrounding areas are almost farms, so horseflies and gnats come out around from July to September. We suggest you to prepare a spray to repel insects.

--------Living---------

Livingは高い吹き抜けと広いスペースでゆったりと過ごせます。 自然素材を数多く使い、人体に有害な物質は一切使っておりません。 壁面は地元杉の集成材を使用し、床は天然無垢板（山桜）を使用しています。 木の特性を活かし、冬は暖かく夏は涼しい構造で、極度の乾燥や湿潤とは無縁です。 当施設は標高900ｍ近い環境にあるため、夏場はエアコンを必要とせず、自然の風が辺りを優しく包み込みます。 ダイニングテーブルは大きめのサイズですので多数の料理が揃ってもテーブル上がお皿で溢れかえる心配もありません。

Our living room is large with high ceiling as a Japanese standard living. Matitto fika is a kind of log house, it's like a Swedish log house. Walls are compiled lumber logs made from local Japanese cedar. Floors are made from wild cherry tree. We use environmental stuff such as paints, floor, and glue. Of course they are gentle for human. It is characteristic of log house to be cool in summer and be warm in winter. We don't provide air conditioner. A lovely cool summer breeze will blow into the cottage instead. So that's the reason why it is comfortable to stay here.

--------Kitchen---------

Kitchenは幅1500mmのコンパクトキッチンです。 IHコンロを使用して調理して頂きます。冷蔵庫やトースター、炊飯器、電子レンジ、カセットコンロ（ガス別売り）、 電気ポットなどもございます。そのほかに基本調味料や調理器具も完備しておりますので、 ご自宅となんら変わりなくお過ごしいただけます。米なども地元の湧水を使って育てたものを１合単位でお分けしていますので、 どうぞお気軽にお尋ね下さい。

Kitchen is a compact kitchen 1500mm in width. Induction heater and radiant heater are provided.

--------Bed Room--------

Bed Roomはシングルベッドを２つ常備しております。 3人目よりはエキストラベッドのご使用となります。木の反射する優しい光の中で眠る悦びは、 お客さまの忘れていた昔の記憶を呼び覚ますことでしょう。 そして朝、カーテンを開けた時に見える原野と阿蘇の山々はさらにお客さまに優しく何かを語りかけるに違いありません。

2 single beds are fixture. We will prepare foldaway beds from 3 to 5 persons.You will see wonderful scenery lying down on the bed.

--------Bathroom--------

Bathroomはペンションやホテルでありがちな狭く閉塞感のあるものは使用せず 1600×1600のゆったりとしたサイズのユニットバスを使用しています。 温泉を御所望でしたら、近場に温泉施設が数多くございますのでそちらをお楽しみいただいても結構です。 なお当施設のお湯は井戸水を沸かしたものですので、 温泉成分は残念ながら含有しておりませんが天然水を使用しているため湯上りは体がサラサラになります。

Our bathroom is prefabricated bathroom with 1.6m square. We hope it's not too small beside other hotels and B&B in Japan. Your skin will be smooth and silky cause of our spring water. Also there are many hot spas(ONSEN) around this area. It costs around 300 yen per person. It may be interesting experience in Japan.

---------Wood terrace----------

Wood terraceはご家族、ご友人でのんびりとお茶やお食事をとってゆったりと過ごせるスペースになっております。 正面には原野の彼方に阿蘇連山、祖母傾連山を眺め、背後には久住連山を望むことが出来ます。 春にはホトトギスやキジの声、夏にはカッコーやヒグラシの声、秋には紅葉、冬は原野に降り積もった雪を楽しむことが出来ます。 隣地は牧野のため手の届くところまで牛が挨拶に来たりもします。

This space is good for teatime and BBQ in summer. This scenic wood terrace will relaxes you. Sometimes, cattle that put out to neighboring grass come in sight.
